The concept for this dwelling grew from the relatively tight confines and steep topography of the site with space being at a premium.
- The design takes full advantage of a steep site with narrow depth and delivers modern spacious accommodation over three floors, with level outdoor amenity spaces incorporated at each level.
- The building combines a common palette of materials and detailing which reinforces the character and qualities of the development in context with its surroundings.
- The careful choice and selection of materials in the façade breaks up the scale and mass of the building with the overall impression being a structure that subtly climbs up the hillside stepping in and out as it goes and dissolving away at its higher climbs.
- Mallards View not only forms an attractive modern home but also delivers a clever design solution to a very difficult site to develop. It benefits from a south facing aspect and offers fabulous panoramic views overlooking the Kenwith Valley Nature Reserve and townscape beyond.
