Project of the Year - A win for Cornwall!

We are exceptionally proud to announce that our clients and our fellow project members were celebrating in style this week after our win at the Michemores Property Awards 2020 for Chi Winder and Chi Vesta in Redruth, Cornwall.

Chi Winder and Chi Vesta is a homeless and social exclusion service delivering accommodation for those most in need, as well as a day centre facility with a dedicated IT suite, doctor’s surgery, training space and office.

You can see more details of the project here on our website.

Michelmores Property Award judge John Beauchamp commented; “This is a really interesting and important project. I very much enjoyed the design and architecture, with its successful mix of traditional forms and contemporary detailing. A worthy winner.”

“Not only a building that complements the industrial heritage of the area, but equally sophisticated in functionality. Nice to be able to give something back to the community through construction.” James Cox from Randall Simmonds LLP, fellow project team members.

As Georgina Hayman from Coastline Housing commented; “This project incorporates and celebrates the amazing industrial mining heritage that has been so strongly interwoven with Cornwall’s identity and fortunes over generations. Hopefully, this will pave the way for further investment, opportunities and choices for everyone in our communities.”

We are hugely proud to have been part of such a project within Cornwall together with the team at Coastline Housing, Classic Builders SW and Randall Simmonds LLP.
