Bude SLSC proposed new building!
We are very pleased to have been asked to design and propose a new building for a new era of life-saving and environmental education in Bude, which is currently registered for planning approval. Through the Coastal Communities Fund, the Bude SLSC alongside Bude Cleaner Seas has applied for funding to replace the dilapidated current clubhouse.
Recently televised by ITV, the proposed building will be of benefit to the community whilst enhancing and improving this corner of Crooklets beach. It will also have a positive effect by encouraging healthy and active lifestyles, involving all ages and abilities in participation in the Surf Lifesaving Club.

The building is positioned in a similar location to the existing clubhouse, although the new building has been repositioned to take better advantage of the views out to sea, both for the pleasure of the clubhouse and also for the safety of sea users. With the housing of the patrol towers for RNLI and BSLSC within the building, there is a priority that visibility out to sea is imperative to the design.
