A Striking timber framed and clad extension to a Grade II Listed thatched cottage within a picturesque North Devon Village.

The extension designed to be subservient to the delightful cottage echoes in a contemporary form the scale of the dwelling, with complementary natural materials of oak frame work and cladding of feather edge oak boarding under a reclaimed Delabole slate roof. It has triangular dormer windows peaking through the roof slope to reflect the uplift of the thatch over the windows of the cottage.

The extension formed within a restricted and sloping site overlooking the river has a lightweight contained appearance designed not to detract from the Historic Listed Building.
