This project was a unique opportunity to redevelop an existing hotel built in the 1970's and perched on top of the North Cornish coast, with views looking out over the Atlantic This development provides a mixture of 2 & 3 bed luxury apartments. The main part of the existing hotel has been remodelled, and a new extension provided a further six new apartments. A new lift was incorporated into the design with ancillary buildings to the rear. The main facade has been remodelled to give a fresher appearance, with large glazed areas leading out onto covered balconies, to capture the sea views. The materials reflect the local buildings, with white render and a slate roof, combined with blue stained weatherboarding to provide an aesthetic more akin to seaside architecture. The large overhanging gables provide a clear distinctive building in an area of outstanding natural beauty, that has a character appropriate to its location.
